Months since I posted over here. There's really no excuse.
Since I last blogged we've (well, mostly Eddie)
1. Picked out a wall color that we didn't actually end up liking
2. Painted and added trim to Andrew's room
3. Replaced all the interior doors
4. Started building the dining room booth
5. Built, but not completed an entry way bench/foot locker/storage thing
6. Hung the flat screen on the wall
7. Demoed part of the main bathroom
8. Built shelves for the garage
9. Decorated for Christmas
10. Replaced the back door with new French doors
11. Had a break in
12. Started using Pinterest
13. Dug up the entire yard (it wasn't much of a yard, just dirt and weeds)
14. Got a new slip cover for the couch
15. Hung some stuff on the walls
and I'm sure there is some other stuff that I can't remember

I Feel Pretty Good About Myself
I went to the Ferguson showroom today to look at bathroom vanities, and all the other fun stuff that they have there. And I noticed something pretty awesome. In their newly remodeled working display kitchen...

So I'm feeling pretty good about my granite choice, since their designer and I picked out the same one!

House Warming, or Cooling
My wonderful parents bought us two of these sweet babies. They're in the kids bedrooms, we are going to get two more for the living room and master bedroom.

The Huge Door Gets Smaller
The door from the kitchen to the garage, was absolutely huge. So big that it looked wrong, and it ate up valuable kitchen wall space. Everyone who saw the door commented on the proportion. So we stole about a foot from the doorway so that we could make the kitchen bigger, and make the whole kitchen/dining area, look right with the appropriate size door.
Edward found a prehung door at Home Depot and kept saying "this is too easy, this is going too well" as he removed the old door and installed the new.
